STEPHEN VICTOR HAMN, MD, FACS


Stephen Victor Hamn graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University where he received a bachelor’s degree in biology. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Hamn completed his residency at University of Missouri in 1987 and went on to serve in various medical capacities with the U.S. Air Force for the following two years.

Beginning in 1989, Dr. Hamn occupied several general surgery positions with different organizations before opening his private practice in Plano, Texas, in 1995. Dr. Hamn specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of obesity and obesity-related health issues.

Dr. Hamn is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow with the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons. Dr. Hamn is also a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons and the Collin-Fannin County Medical Society.
